I Pick a Pennant, you Pick a Pennant, everyone Pick a Pennant!

Hello stampers! Happy Labor Day!!! I hope you have fun plans for today. I just love it when the kids have a day off. We are going to take advantage of this and have a little fun.

I have a clean and simple card for you today. I have to admit, I received this stamp set as an All Attendee Giveaway at Stampin' Up!'s OnStage Local in April, and I have never inked it up! I really hate it when I do that. I think there are just too many fabulous stamp sets in the new Annual Catalog that I forget what I have. Lol!

Anyways, here is my card:

Isn't this just sweet? I used the Color Challenge at Global Design Project this week.

These colors had me a little stumped at first so I went and stood in front of my stamp sets and just started looking at what I had. I came across Pick a Pennant and realized that it needed some love. I pulled it out and this is what I came up with. I love that there are a couple of different banners in this set. A triangle banner and a rounded one and I used both on my card today.

Another thing I like is that there are little stamps to fill in the banners or you can leave them plain. There is also a FULL alphabet in this set and they fit perfectly in the little pennants. How awesome is that?!? You can make whatever greeting you want. Sweet! I left my sentiment simple and I can use it for many different occasions.

I used a retired (GASP!) mini paperclip, but you could use the new Galvanized Clips in the upcoming Holiday Catalog instead. I threaded some Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon through the clip and it adds just a little bit of texture to an otherwise simple card. I think it turned out cute!

Thank you for visiting today. Don't forget to follow my blog by entering you email above. I look forward to sharing with you tomorrow!

  1. Such a pretty card, Mindy! I realized I haven't inked my pennant set either; I may CASE yours, because it's perfect! (If that's ok)
