Have a Joyous Noel

Hello there stampers! I hope you are all just fabulous today. I have a fun card to share with you today. I just got the Peaceful Noel stamp set this past week. I wasn't sure if I was going to get it or not, but I have seen too many beautiful samples made with it and I just love all the products in the Joyous Noel suite (and had all of them but this stamp set) that I just had to get it! I don't know why I waited. This set has some really fun images that you can put together to make beautiful projects. The images are light and airy, whimsical and the sentiments are so sweet. Here is my card:

Here is the sketch that inspired this card:

Sunday Stamps

I really liked this sketch. I flipped it upside down and went from there.

I have decided that I needed a simple pattern in my background DSP. I am still sharing this with you because I do like the card, but when I make it again, I will pick a background with more of a solid color and not so much pattern. I have to say though, I am loving this Joyous Noel DSP. It is so beautiful. It has lovely, copper foil accents on each side of paper that adds some shine to your card. This images on the DSP are just lovely also. It is one of my favorite DSP's in the holiday catalog.

I made a little wreath using several images in the stamp set. I then stamped my sentiment and put it in the middle of my "wreath" and adhered it using dimensionals. I then added some lovely Merry Merlot & Copper ribbon to my card and attached a Snowflake Wire Element. Isn't that ribbon and wire element just stunning? I love the subtle shimmer the ribbon has and that snowflake, just amazing!

Can you see the Copper shimmer in the ribbon? It is reversible ribbon and you are going to love it! Did you notice my little bow? It is a fork bow. I have never done a bow like this before, but apparently it has been around for years! I have just now discovered it! Lol! You use a fork to tie the bow. I thought it was a very creative idea. I will have to make a video sometime to show you how it is done. Yes folks! I said, "make a video". I am going to try making some videos for you. I have never done this before, but I figured it couldn't be that difficult, right? Eeeeeks! I hope not.

A sentiment and some sprigs of color complete the inside of my card.

I hope you love this Joyous Noel Suite as much as I do and will check it out right now. I would love to see what you create with this suite of products. Please share below or in an email at mindyclove75@gmail.com

A Few of My Favorite Things, Take Two

I wanted to share with you a few more of my favorite things from the Holiday Catalog. I hope you are enjoying this as much as I am. So, without further adieu,

COUNTRY LANE SUITE

I am in love with this suite. I love the stamp set, the TIEF, the colors, everything. It just screams Fall and I can't get enough of it. Here are a couple of cards I have made using this suite of products:

Isn't that Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Emboss Folder just stunning? I love how it looks when you emboss our foil paper with it. So amazing! I love the images in the Country Home stamp set. They are so adorable and the sentiments are wonderful. You can use if for multiple occasions.

TRICK OR TWEET

I don't buy a lot of Halloween items because I find that I don't make very many things with them, but when I saw this ADORABLE stamp set, I just had to buy it. The little critters in this set are so darling! They are so hard to resist. Here are a couple of samples I have made using this set:

SANTA'S WORKSHOP SUITE

This suite is so darling! It has the cutest images of Santa, Mrs. Claus and Santa's elves. I think it just screams Christmas. The DSP in this suite is amazing. It has hand drawn designs and white flocking on some of the sheets. How stinkin' cute is that? There is also a great Memories and More card pack as you can see in the second picture that is so cute.

What is Memories and More you ask? It is a simple way to scrapbook all your pictures in a book, but have the book look super cute at the same time. You can also combine the Memories and More Card pack with our coordinating Memories and More Cards and Envelopes to make super cute Christmas cards! No stamping required! In fact, this set has been so popular that it is unfortunately on back order right now, but will be available at the end of October. There will still be plenty of time to get your cards made and out on time!!! Yay!!!

TAKE YOUR PICK TOOL

I  just LOVE this new tool by Stampin' Up! It has multiple purposes. It has a sticky, putty end as seen above that is great for picking up sequins and other small, loose items. There are refills available for this also. WooHoo! On the other end of the tool, there are two changeable, double-ended tips. One of these tips has a flexible spatula to pick up self adhesive pearls, rhinestones, self adhesive sequins, etc... The other side of this tip had a paper piercer. The other tip has two stylus ends. One a small stylus and one a larger stylus for scoring. How awesome is that? I love this tool and I know you will too. You have got to get one today!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed getting to see what some of my favorite items in the catalog are. I had such a hard time narrowing it down. If I had to really choose, I would say ALL OF IT is my favorite! LOL! Truly, this is one of the best Holiday catalogs I have ever seen. You need to check it out. If you would like a paper copy, just shoot me an email at mindyclove75@gmail.com with your name and address and I will get one in the mail to you right away.

Making a Wish

Hello there everyone! How are you this lovely day? I hope you had a great weekend. Our weekend wasn't too eventful. We did get flu shots. Not too exciting, but definitely necessary. Lol!

I found a color challenge over at As You See It. I really liked it as it has different blues and I do love blue. Here is my card:

Here is the color challenge:

Isn't this a great color combination? I was very happy to see that I still had Dapper Denim card stock and my ink pad. Sorry guys. This color is retired. I am so sad about that. Dapper Denim is such a lovely shade of blue and I love it. I was excited to be able to use it again! I did put a little Daffodil Delight in there, but I think it looks great with these colors.

My card is pretty simple, but I like how it turned out. I love the row of candles along the bottom of the white card stock. So fun and cheery! I took a piece of Bermuda Bay DSP and a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock and adhered them to my base on an angle. I adhered my focal panel and added a little washi tape to add some interest. A few Glitter Enamel Dots finished off my card. I like it! I think this would be a great card for a class as it is fairly simple and was super quick to put together. It was really easy to stamp all those candles as the stamp set, "Broadway Birthday", is photo polymer and I could see right where I was stamping. Easy Peasy!

I stamped a sentiment on the inside and added a little (fake) sparkle to the side and this card is finished! I love it! Super simple, yet fun and exciting.

I hope you have been finding time to create for yourself. Whether it be crafting, cooking, sewing, or whatever you enjoy. It is good for the soul. (And great therapy too!)
