A Happy Wedding with Abstract Impressions

I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a couple of days. I ended up with  a flu bug. I don't know how that happened. It is much too hot here for any cooties to survive! I am so ready for Fall weather. This heat has got me beat!

Anyways, on to my card for today. This is one of the cards we made at my monthly card class this month.

I just love the colors! I took the color combination from the 6 x 6 paper stack, Garden Impressions. I just think these papers are gorgeous. They have lovely, floral images on one side and abstract, watercolor images on the opposite. So pretty!  Here is my color combo for this card:

Isn't that a lovely, color combination? So soft and pretty. I thought these colors would look really nice on a wedding card.

If you look closely, you can see that I used a few dies from the special promotion Stampin' Up! is holding in the month of August. The dies from Stitched Seasons are the center die and the vellum cutouts.

Another gorgeous die is that Melon Mambo, ornate die on the right of the card. Isn't it stunning? There are three dies in this set that just add style, sophistication, and fun to your cards. These are my favorite dies in the annual catalog!

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Don't forget to order your Color Your Season bundle today while they are still available. Also, don't forget Bonus Days here in August. For every $50 you spend August 1-31, you will receive a $5 coupon to spend September 1-30. That is an awesome deal! Shop with me today!

More Color Your Season Swap Cards

I want to share some more swap cards that I received using the Blended Seasons bundle. Remember, this bundle is only available August 1-31 or while supplies last. This is such a beautiful stamp set and the dies are gorgeous! You are going to want to get the bundle while you can.

Here are a few cards that I received using this bundle. I have watermarked each card with the creator's name.

Isn't this card just gorgeous? I love how Elaine made a frame using the dies. The color palette is perfect for Christmas and that coloring, fabulous!

Isn't Patty's card just stunning? I love the sparkle of that adorable bow and the pop of color that the green sprigs give. Don't you just love that polka dot ribbon? I swoon every time I see it!

I love this card by Rhonda. It is simple (my style), but it sure makes a statement. I love the leaf dies and the subtle texture she put on the brown background. I also love all the layers. Darling!

This card by Susan is beautiful. I love those leaves and how Susan colored them. They are the perfect fall colors. The little sprigs add just the right touch and isn't that the best sentiment? Lovely!

I am loving the soft color palette of Jennifer's card. The watercolor background is the perfect backdrop for the leaf die cuts. The sentiment just pops out with that nice, bold color, but doesn't overpower the card. The flow is perfect on this card. Just beautiful.

Isn't this calendar just darling? Brynn, who hosted the swap, made one of these calendars for all who participated. She used the dies to make them and then put a magnet on the back. Such a clever idea!

I hope you enjoyed these samples I have shared with you. Make sure to get your Blended Seasons Bundle today while you can!

My take on The Paper Players Challenge 405

I thought I would try the challenge over at The Paper Players. This is a Color Challenge and I have to say, I struggled with this one. I am typically not a monochromatic stamper, but I used all the colors in the challenge. It is very simple, but here is my card:

Here is the challenge:

The Paper Players

I used 3/4" strips of the colored card stock and glued them onto a piece of white card stock that is 3 3/4" x 5". I then used dimensionals to adhere that piece to the card base. I cut out the sentiment die and the leaves with the Stitched Seasons dies. These dies and coordinating stamp set and Watercolor Pencils, Assortment 2 are only available while supplies last in August!

I stamped the wheat with So Saffron ink on the edge of the die and the sentiment with Pumpkin Pie ink. These stamps are in the Blended Seasons stamp set.

I adhered the sentiment die with dimensionals and adhered the leaf dies with thinly, cut strips of dimensionals. I then trimmed the edge of the top leaf off. Not fancy, but I think I like it!

Don't forget Bonus Days with Stampin' Up! this month. If you buy $50 of product (before shipping and tax), August 1-31, you will receive a $5 coupon to spend September 1-30. What a great deal! Pick up the limited, Blended Seasons bundle and get a $5 coupon! Shop with me today!

Color Your Season Swap Card

I am sharing another card that I received in the Color Your Season swap that I participated in recently. Here is the card:

A fellow demonstrator, Breelin Renwick, made this card. Isn't it just lovely? I love the simplicity of it, but it is still stunning. Breelin only used the little leaf sprig framelit die from the "Stitched Seasons" framelits, but it packs a punch. The sentiment and wheat are from the stamp set, "Blended Seasons".

Click on my online store in the right sidebar and get these amazing products today. The Blended Seasons bundle and individual items are only available August 1-31 or WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Check out the new selection of Watercolor Pencils that are available during this special sale also. You are going to love them!

Sweet Soiree Scrap booking Pages

Today I am sharing a scrap book layout that I worked on last night. I am trying to use up my RETIRED Stampin' Up! paper stash. I love this DSP. It is the "Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper". It was in the 2018 Occasions Catalog. It is so very shiny and elegant.

I have to admit, cutting out those flowers was a bit time consuming, but definitely worth it. I just love how it adds so much to the page.

I just cut the flowers from one of the sheets of paper that is included in the pack. I will put my son's Homecoming pictures where the white paper is.

I also used a few current products on these pages. I used the Stitched Seasons Dies for the white, journaling space, the bow above it, and the green sprigs that are scattered around the pages. I just adore these dies! They are a limited time offer in the month of August. They are only available while supplies last, so order yours today by clicking on my Shop With Me to the right!

*For anyone who places an order of $15.00 or more (before shipping and taxes), I will send you the pdf to make these pages for FREE! They would look amazing with some of the new DSP that is available in our 2018-2019 catalog. Just make sure that you leave your contact information so that I can email you your pdf!

Color Your Season swap card

I participated in a swap that my friend and fellow demonstrator, Brynn Thornburgh, hosted last month. For those of you who don't know what a swap is, a "swap" is where you make several of the same card and then you swap with other people that have done the same. You end up with several beautiful cards that are all different!

For this swap, we were to use the products in the Color Your Season special that Stampin' Up! is running in the month of August. This is the card that I made.
This Blended Seasons stamp set is so wonderful because it covers so many seasons. I decided to go a little different route. I wanted to make a wedding card. I also made a fancy, gate fold card. I used the Stitched Seasons dies that coordinate with the stamp set. They are fabulous! They stitch both the inside AND the outside! Swoon!
I decorated the inside of the card as well. That little bell can be used for weddings like I have done, or it can be used as a Christmas bell. So many choices with this set! It is one that I am going to be using for quite some time.

The products I used are listed below:
